General Timeline
Sexual Assault Prevention (SAP) has been a focus across the Desi Dance Network for several years. Far too many collegiate dancers enter the circuit without proper education around sustaining healthy relationships, maintaining sexual health and safety, or participating in safe drinking habits; these factors compound, leaving our community at-risk for sexual violence. We are grateful to have a variety of community organizations who have made strides to tackle this issue by improving awareness around the prevalence of sexual assault in the circuit and providing resources to better support survivors.
Accountability & Deductions
The judging process for Partner Competitions has been updated following extensive feedback received from competition boards, current judges, and team captains via surveys and focus groups. Modifications were made to the rubric, competition process, and judge selection process.
