How can Legends support you?

Contact us

DDN Inc. is committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all members of our community.

We aim to promote healing for both those harmed and our community as a whole. We encourage you to reach out to us if you think you have witnessed or experienced any form (intentional or unintentional) of discrimination, harassment, or assault. You do not have to have a specific request or goal in mind; we are happy to simply listen, talk to you about resources that have helped peers in similar situations, or consider next steps. We do not take any action without your consent.

Please note that while our process was built with input from experts in legal & social work, we are NOT trained professionals and we do not provide legal or medical advice. We do not conduct investigations or assign guilt or innocence to any party, as we are not qualified to do so. Our focus is to provide support from the community.

Reporting to DDN: FAQs

If I reach out, who will see my response?

Responses to this form will be reviewed by our DDN CEO, Neesha Deshmukh, and DDN COO, Manvi Shah, and members of our survivor support team, who are circuit alumni with a background in sexual violence (see above). Responses are saved in a secure folder that only our CEO, COO, and survivor support team can access. Legends Directors, Legends board members, and DDN board members do not have access to these survey responses. This form does not automatically save your email.

Do I have to share my story in writing?

You can reach out to us in a variety of ways and you can share your story in the way that is most comfortable for you. You can ask to set up a call, share a voice message, write down your story, etc.

Re-telling your story can be stressful. Please do not feel that you need to have your full story ready to go - it is possible that we can provide support or connect you to resources without too much detail.

Can someone report for me?

Yes! Ask someone trustworthy who cares about you to be your proxy. If you can provide written consent, we can meet with them instead. We will also share all updates or questions with you through this proxy. This can help alleviate the stress that can come from having to have extensive conversations with us.

Will my information be kept private?

Every member of DDN and Legends board -- from your Legends registration chair to our DDN CEO – is signed onto an NDA. This means that our members are legally required to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information that is shared with them.

After I reach out, what are the next steps?

Our CEO & COO will review your submission and loop in our DDN Survivor Support team as relevant. We aim to respond to you within 5 business days. They may need to loop in other members of DDN C-Suite or Legends Directors, at which point they would notify you in advance.

Who is the DDN Survivor Support team?

Our survivor support team is a group of trusted, former members of our community who have had some training in trauma-informed care or survivor support. The members are advocates, social workers, and current professionals in the survivor support, justice, and mental wellbeing fields.
